Coffee is more than a drink. It’s a story.
Coffee has connected people for centuries. At My Father Coffee, we honour that tradition by roasting with care, consistency and respect for the craft, so every cup tells a story worth tasting.
THE ORIGIN OF COFFEE
Coffee’s journey began centuries ago in the highlands of Ethiopia, where coffee trees grew wild and were first discovered for their energising effect. From there, coffee travelled to Yemen, where people started roasting and brewing the beans — transforming coffee into a social ritual.
By the 15th century, coffeehouses appeared across the Middle East and later Europe. These were not just places to drink coffee, but spaces where ideas, conversations and communities were born. Coffee became fuel for thinkers, traders and creators — a role it still plays today.
At My Father Coffee, we see ourselves as part of that long tradition: respecting where coffee comes from, and honouring how it’s meant to be enjoyed.
